Richmeed Medallion x Grandelle B
This fine and elegant black 2yo filly brings together the two
beautiful black pedigrees of Richmeed Medallion and Grandkavalier.
Her mother, Ellie, was a solid mare of about 16.3hh so we do expect Mikayla to continue to grow for some time yet! Richmeed Medallion (now deceased) was a successful Grand Prix competitor renowned for his amazing temperament. Imported to Australia as a foal at foot, he
was sired by the legendary May Sherif, and was the sire of Grand Prix horses himself including Byalee Magic and Moscow and a host of up and coming dressage stars. Mikayla herself literally floats across the arena in a huge ground-covering trot and with Medallion no longer alive to serve, represents a rare opportunity to acquire a quality bred filly carrying his lines.
Grand Kavalier was imported from Germany having already passed his 100-day performance test being awarded
8s for both character and rideability. He is out of Resista who is a full sister to 1995 dressage star Rubenstein. Resista’s dam Antine is in fact a full sister to Reiner Klimke’s Ahlerich and full sister to Adone, dam of Rembrandt. What a star-studded line-up of genetics!
